Two leading brands constantly updating their offer
Carrera Toys GmbH, an Austrian company owning brands like Carrera, Carrera RC and Pustefix, develops, manufactures and markets its lines all over the world, and also offers ever-new concepts linked with winning licences such as Disney and Nintendo. Sales and marketing of Revell GmbH, a German company specializing in plastic model kits and RC toys (under its Revell Control brand), extend to strategic countries and markets including USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain and BeNeLux. Both companies belong to Munich-based Quantum Capital Partners.
“The Carrera lines’ key strengths consist in quality and breadth of range, features that have driven the brand to the leadership in the racetracks (and relevant accessories) category”, says Stefano Galli, Head of Sales/Italy (picture). “However, in the last few years Carrera has also been growing internationally in the RC business, where the brand now represents a point of reference for licensed items (Nintendo, Sonic, CAT Caterpillar, Red Bull) and for top level products, as to performance and functions, quality of the batteries, speed of the toys… Product development allows the Carrera brand especially to introduce updated collections with ever-new SKUs and licences. As to Revell, besides model kits, in the Central European markets the brand leads in the RC category thanks to a line boasting over 100 codes in all sections: ground, air, water. The Italian market is crowded but we are growing and achieving new spaces”.
Both brands offer many new products in all categories: electric racetracks, battery-fed tracks, Pull & Speed line (rear-loading vehicles) and RCs. “Carrera’s licence portfolio has been extended and in 2023 we expect a boost with the releases of movies and TV series: Mario Bros, Sonic, Paw Patrol and several more. As regards Revell, in the 3D Puzzles line it has remarkably widened its offer with many classic licensing themes”, announces Galli.
